Walk Mill Xmas01

The run up to Christmas is a busy time, with families juggling extra shopping, social commitments, extra work engagements and school performances on top of the normal day to day routine.  Often by Christmas Day people feel run down and exhausted and what should be a relaxing break is anything but.

However, thanks to a newly launched range of hand-made beauty products there is an ideal gift available to help restore calm and tranquillity.

The Walk Mill Botanics range includes soap bars, beauty balms, bath melts, bath bombs, room sprays, Himalayan bath salts, decorative hanging soaps and muslin cloths. Every handmade soap and gift box comes in unique biodegradable packaging made from recycled clothes and embedded with wild flower seeds – which can be planted in gardens, window boxes or plant pots to create a little bit of Walk Mill in your own living space.

Especially for Christmas, and capturing the festive spirit, is a gorgeously fragranced orange and cinnamon handmade soap – the perfect stocking filler for anyone with a love of nature.

This luxurious soap is handmade using natural ingredients, including ground almonds to gently exfoliate the skin and cinnamon to add rich undertones.  It is wrapped in cinnamon scented packaging made from 100 per cent recycled cotton clothing containing flecks of cinnamon.

In addition to traditional hand soaps Walk Mill Botanics has also produced an attractive hanging decoration featuring angel and star-shaped soaps, with dried orange and cinnamon sticks to provide the aromas so evocative of Christmas.

To address the stresses and strains of the festive season, the back of each label contains a therapeutic lifestyle exercise based on the soap's holistic properties - in the case of the Christmas soap 'peace', this focuses on a breathing exercise to help restore tranquillity.

Walk Mill Botanics was founded by Vicki Evans, an executive coach and training consultant who combined her passions for gardening, personal development and soap making to develop a range of luxurious, SLS and paraben free products many of which are infused with home grown ingredients.

Vicki grows and extracts ingredients from her garden in rural Walk Mill on the Shropshire/ Staffordshire border, as well as from her holiday home on the Isle of Islay.  She comments: “This range is inspired by my greatest passions in life: plants, gardening and helping people develop their potential through their own personal development.  Every element from the ingredients to the packaging is designed to give people a moment of bliss away from their hectic everyday live.
